Okay guys. This is probably one of the worst games ever. Be prepared.
My dad sent me this with the facetious title saying "You could be making games like this!"
Yes, I could. But I would do it better. And I think we all would.
First of all, what is the point of the game? Is it memorisation? Is it just wordgames using memorised phrases? Is it to build phrases according to a certain rubric (oh god why are all the ins not any different whyyyy)
I'm just saying, if you were commissioned to make a game to whatever purpose you think this game was meant to have, how would you do it?
(To clarify, LDS = Mormon)

Hmmm. Not sure about the specifics of the LDS faith. But my interpretation is that the goal here is some form of gentle indoctrination.
On the mechanical side:
With the current game, the arrow of progress isn't very clear. But it appears to have the elements needed, just scheduled oddly.
It's odd that article of faith doesn't appear until you've randomly clicked the bubbles. IMHO, it'd be more interesting if the game starts with scriptures, and have players click the word bubbles in sequence to fill in the blanks of the articles.
On the immersion side:
More targeted music and song would greatly delta the experience. Religion has some of the most powerful and iconic soundtracks...and that's entirely absent here. Also in a number of classical literature such as Shakespeare, supernatural characters such as witches and fortune tellers speak in rhymes.
Music and song IMHO have an element of mind control to it; my favorite songs do alter my emotional state.
Anyhows that's my 1st shot at delta-ing this. I bet we as a group in class can push this even farther.
Interesting challenge.
